1. I've lost my password!
That's no problem for Mister Wong. Simply click here. Enter your username or your email address, and you will receive an email that enables you to reset your password.
2. I can't access my userpage!

3. How do I register?
You can register here with your own individual username, email, and password. The username must have at least two characters, but no more than twelve. Your password must have at least four characters. You will receive an activation link via email to confirm your account. Then you can get wonging!
4. I did not receive an email to confirm my account. What do I do now?
Please make sure that the confirmation email from Mister Wong did not get lost in your spam filter. If that doesn't help, click here to have a new confirmation email sent to you. To do this, you'll need to enter either your username or your email address.
5. How do I add new bookmarks from the internet?
Adding a bookmark with Mister Wong is easy. And, there are several ways to do it.
You can use the form under "Add" to add the URL and any additional information. This is practical for using on computers, which you can't install extra tools on, for example, in an internet café.
Install the toolbar for Firefox or the buttons for Internet Explorer
Install and use the Bookmarklets.If you install the toolbar or bookmarklets, you can add a bookmark simply by clicking a button. A pop-up window will open, in which the URL and title of the site will already be filled in. You just have to add a comment and tags. And, of course, you can decide whether you want to make your bookmark private or public. If you are working from a computer, where you can't install bookmarklets, for instance at work, school, or at an internet café, there's always the more burdensome way. 6. How do I install the Firefox Toolbar?
You can download the Firefox toolbar here. You will need the Firefox browser version 1.0.Under certain circumstances, a small window might pop-up stating that Firefox prevented this site from asking you to install software on your computer. In this case, click the Edit Options on the yellow bar, click Allow, click Close, then click on the install link of the toolbar again. After you have successfully installed the toolbar, restart your browser to use it. You can move or delete the single icons on your browser by clicking "View" > "Toolbar" > "Modify".
7. Which functions does the toolbar have for Firefox?
You can bookmark any webiste with just one click on Firefox with the help of the Toolbar. After installing the toolbar, you will see three buttons. With the red button, you can bookmark the website you are currently on. The title and URL of the site will automatically be entered. Pretty convenient, right? The yellow button will take you to your Wong Bookmarks with just one click. And the gray button offers you a choice of options to your account. As explained in the installation tips, you can move or delete the single icons on your browser by clicking "View" > "Toolbar" > "Modify".
8. How do I install buttons for the Internet Explorer?
Click here to install the two buttons for the Internet Explorer. When you are asked, if you would like to open or save, choose "Open". In the next box, click on "Install". It's as easy as that, and now you have two convenient buttons for your toolbar.If you can't see the buttons after installation, check if the toolbar is visible. To do this go to your menu, click on "View" > "Toolbar" > "Links" and checkmark it. It's also possible, that the toolbar is not completely visible, because the toolbar on Internet Explorer can be moved with the mouse. Make sure the toolbar is not locked. There should be no checkmark in the menu under "View" > "Toolbar" > "Lock the Toolbars".
9. What are the functions of the buttons on Internet Explorer?
The Mister Wong Toolbar has one button less on the Internet Explorer than it does on Firefox. However, you are enhancing your Internet Explorer with the two convenient buttons it does have. With the first button, "Mister Wong", you can get to your Bookmarks with one click. The second button titled "Wong it!", helps you bookmark a site to Mister Wong. You just add the tags and save, and you'll be back to the original site. It only interrupts you surfing briefly, but you'll have the website bookmarked by Mister Wong, and it will be available to you anytime and from anywhere.
10. How do I install the Bookmarklets?
To conveniently add your bookmarks to Mister Wong in Safari, Opera, or many other browsers, there are three links that can be simply dragged into the link area of other browsers using drag and drop.Simply click the text link, keep the mouse button pressed, and drag the link into the links icon bar of the browser:11. The Bookmarklets are small and convenient. You can use them to bookmark a website, get to your Bookmarks, and even get to Mister Wong's homepage with just one click. You can delete the text on the last two buttons in several browsers. Then you'll just see the little Mister Wong symbol in your toolbar, which saves space and looks cool.
12. How can I search on Mister Wong?
Mister Wong thinks searching and finding is very important. This is why Mister Wong allows you to search your own Bookmarks and the public Bookmarks of others by using one or more keywords. The search results correspond with the tags, that the Bookmarks were given on Mister Wong. Additionally, the title, URL, and comment are also searched through. If several tags are searched for, they are automatically connected with "AND", so that all possibly corresponding Bookmarks are shown. The search box allows you to preselect between Websites, Bookmarks, and Tags. By choosing "Websites", you will search through the Bookmarks of every user. If you choose "My Bookmarks", the search will be limited to your own Bookmarks. And if you choose "Tags", only the corresponding Tag will be searched for. Thanks to all the bookmarks, Mister Wong has developed his own search algorithm and index, which weighs all public Bokmarks (as well as the title, comment, and tags) with specific factors and sorts the respective Bookmarks by popularity. This way you get first class search results.
13. How can I search through my own Bookmarks by Mister Wong?
It's really easy. Just click "My Bookmarks" above to the search box.You can also add my: in front of your search. For example, by searching for my:internet, you will get a list of all your personal Bookmarks, which you tagged with the word internet. If you search several tags, you only need to put my: in front of one.
14. How can I search for Bookmarks for a specific site?
To search for a specific site, add an internet address without the http:// to your search criteria. For example, searching for site:www.mister-wong.com, you will get all the results referring to the site www.mister-wong.com
15. How can I search for specific Tags?
Choose "Tags" next to the search box, in order to search only for specific tags.You can also just add tag: in front of your search criteria, which will also give you only the Bookmarks that have been tagged with that keyword. For example, searching for tag:internet, will get you all the Bookmarks with the Tag internet.Another solution to this problem is our easy-URL-principle. For example, finding the Bookmarks with the Tag internet, use the URL www.mister-wong.com/tags/internet/. Easy, right?
16. How do I search for related Links to a Bookmark?
If a Link has been saved several times with a sufficient amount of Tags, you will see a link titled "Related Links" on the Overview. When you click on that link, Mister Wong will recommend you six related Links.
17. How do I find the most frequently saved Bookmarks on Mister Wong?
On the Overview, you will find under the title most popular, the most popular Bookmarks on Mister Wong.
18. How do I find the most frequently saved Bookmarks to a specific Tag?
You can search through every Bookmark summary to a specific Tag (or several Tags) in two ways - either by popularity (most popular) or by how new it is (fresh bookmarks). Just click on the link fresh or hot next to the title.
19. How can I see if other users have also saved a specific Bookmark?
In every Bookmark summary it states how many users have the link saved in their public Bookmarks. With one click on that number, you will get a list of these users. On this list is also the number of users, who have it saved privately as well.
20. How do I find experts of specific subjects?
If you got to the page of a specific Tag, for example flash, then you will see on the right-hand side a list of up to five users, who have the most public Bookmarks saved with that Tag. This makes it easy to find Power-Users with similar interests, search through their Bookmarks, and even contact them with a private message.
21. Can I search on Mister Wong from my browser?
If you are using Firefox, then it's no problem. You've probably already noticed, that with the search box in the upper right-hand corner, you can search several internet sites. You can add Mister Wong with the Firefox Search Plugin. The described search options, which you can use to search your Bookmarks, as well as specific websites or Tags, apply to this as well.Show Profile
22. What features does the Profile have?
Mister Wong says: Everybody's different.That's why he finds it important, that you can activate or deactivate several features.
23. How do I add private information to my Profile?
In your profile under Private Information , you can add private information, such as first and last name, organization, place, ICQ, Skype, Homepage, XING, and more, as well as a brief description about yourself. You decide which information to make public or to keep private.Through your personal information, colleagues, friends, and local users can find you, add you as a Buddy, check out your homepage, or contact you on ICQ or Skype.
24. How do I upload a Profile image?
You can upload your Profile image here. The image size should be 48x48 pixels in gif, jpeg, or png format. Larger images will be automatically reduced. You can easily cut your image to size with MyPictr.You can always change or delete your profile image.
25. What is the Wong Letter?
Every week, we'll inform you in the Wong Letter about interesting websites and Buddies, who have similar interests. It will also include Bookmark statistics and your own lucky number.
26. How can I unsubscribe to the Wong Letter?
You can unsubscribe here under "Miscellaneous".
27. How do I open Links in another window?
Normally, you can open links in another window or tab with the help of the context menu. Mister Wong has made it even easier for you. In your Profile Settings under "Miscellaneous", you can choose whether you want links to open in a new window or not. In newer browser versions, you can use this, according to settings, to open links in new tabs, instead of a new window.Import and Export
28. How do I import Bookmarks from my browser?
Mister Wong has an import page, where you can import your Bookmarks. There are different procedures according to browser type.All bookmarks are imported privately and are assigned tags according to your folder structure. If it is not possible to identify tags for some bookmarks, they will be given the tag "untagged" by default.
29. How do I import Bookmarks from Firefox?
In Firefox go to "Bookmarks" > "Organize Bookmarks" and then to "File" > "Export". Save the file on your desktop, so that you can find it again and import it here.
30. How do I import Bookmarks from Internet Explorer?
In Internet Explorer go to "File" > "Import/Export". An assistant will open up, click on "Next", then click on "Export favorites". You will then be asked which folder you want to export. Next, you go to "Export as a file". Save the file on your desktop, so that you can find it again and import it here.
31. How do I import Bookmarks from other browsers?
Mister Wong also imports bookmarks from Opera and Safari. In Opera go to "Bookmarks" > "Manage bookmarks" and then to "File" > "Import and Export" > "Export bookmark as HTML". Save the file on your desktop, so that you can find it again and import it here.
32. How do I export my Bookmarks?
You can export your Bookmarks in HTML format here anytime. You can also decide, whether you want your Tags and comments to be saved as well. The file, that you can then download, can be viewed and used from any browser.

After you've used Mister Wong for awhile and are completely enthusiastic about it, you'll probably want to invite your friends to join.You can easily invite friends, colleagues, or others here. We offer you several pre-written messages targeted towards specific people, according to who you want to invite. Thanks to these personal invitations, these new users will automatically be added to your Buddies.You can check the status of your invitations here.
35. How can I add or delete another user as a Buddy?
Take a look at your Buddies page. You'll find search boxes to find Buddies in your vicinity, friends, and colleagues. You can search for them by username, first and last name, organization, and location. Members can only be found if they have filled in the relevant information and set the data to "public".

37. How can I contact others from their Bookmarks page?
On every user's userpage, you will see, as already mentioned, two links at the top. You can send a message to them with one click, by clicking on the right link ("Send message"). Please be considerate of others' privacy and do not misuse this feature!
38. How can I recommend Bookmarks?
Each of your bookmarks, has three links with gray backgrounds. One is for editing, one for deleting, and one for recommending the bookmark to others. If you click on the link "recommend", a red-outlined box opens up. Fill in a username or email address, a short comment, and click recommend. That's how easy it is.
39. How can I send messages to other users?
You can send messages to other users under "Messages" in your menu. A pull-down menu of your Buddies makes it even easier to send messages to them. The Blacklist, which you can also manage from here, is a list of people you no longer want to receive messages from. And, of course, under "Messages" you can read your sent and received messages.You can also send users messages from a user's Bookmarks page. When you are on their Bookmarks page, just click on the "Send message" link. It's that easy. It can happen, that users have deactivated the messaging feature or have put you on their Blacklist, a decision that should be respected.
40. How can I deactivate messages from others?
Every user can put other users, who they no longer want to receieve messages from, on the Blacklist. It is also possible to deactivate the messaging feature here under "Messages" by checking No to Receive messages. You can also decide there, if you want to receieve emails when you get new messages.
41. How do I find a Group?
Mister Wong says: Wonging in a group is twice the fun.On our main Groups page, we not only list new groups, but also popular groups with lots of members and bookmarks. You can either look through all Groups in alphabetical order here or use the search box on the Groups page.
42. How do I set up a Group?
You can set up a Group on this page. Beyond giving your Group a name and description, you can also decide if you want to make it public to everyone or private, so that only members can see the bookmarks.Tags

When you are on the Overview page or on another user's Bookmarks, you will notice two links with gray highlighted links, "save" and "recommend". Click on "save" and a mask will open up, which you can use to save the link to your own Bookmarks.

Tags help you to organize your Bookmarks. If you have, for example, only 20 links by Mister Wong, then it won't be hard to see through your list of Bookmarks. But if you keep adding more and more, eventually it will be harder. Adding tags helps you to sort through them, so you can find the links you are looking for when you need them.
45. How do I add Tags?
Miser Wong says: Tagging is easy, you just have to do it.When you add a link, you will notice under the URL, title, and comment boxes another box called Tags. You can add keywords, or so-called Tags, in this box. Mister Wong wants to make tagging as easy as possible for you, so here is some help:
46. How does the typeahead feature work?
If you have already entered Tags, Mister Won can help you the next time you do. As soon as you begin to type a word, a list of your Tags with the same letters will show up under the tag box. If one of them is the Tag you are typing, then you can simply choose it from the list and your Bookmark will receive that Tag.Thanks to this feature, you don't have to type as much, and you can keep an overview on which Tags you have already used. Duplicates, as well as having singular and plural Tags is a thing of the past.You can also deactivate the typeahead feature on your Profile.
47. How do I change or edit my Tags?
You can always edit your Tags here, whether you want to rename, for example, a Tag software instead of program, or even if you just want to split two Tags apart.

49. What are Tag bundles and how do they work?
Tagging can be pretty complex. While working on subjects, you'll notice quickly that some Tags are doubled, crossover, and could actually be bundled together. In order to save you time and effort, you can set up Tag bundles, so that with just one tag, others are automatically added. For example, you can create a windows Tag bundle, with which you can add the Tags microsoft, windows, xp and vista. Then every time you tag a Bookmark with windows , each of these Tags will automatically be added as well.You can create Tag bundles here.
50. How can I use Tags effectively?
Tagging your Bookmarks, should help you to keep an overview of your Bookmarks. You can give your Bookmarks one or more Tags, which will make them easier to find by their combination.For example: You collect Bookmarks about programs, which you find important and would like to install on your PC. You could give the programs Tags like pc, microsoft, windows and xp. According to program type, perhaps you add extra Tags like system, office, graphic, internet, mail and opensource. Thanks to the Tags, now you can sort your collection by criteria.Maybe you buy yourself a Mac or you install Linux. 51. What are EasyURLs and how do they work?
Mister Wong has a feature called EasyURLs, which means the internet addresses by Mister Wong are simply and logically arranged.For example, under www.mister-wong.com/user/wong/, you'll find the Bookmarks of the user named Wong. His RSS feed, if activated on his Profile, would be www.mister-wong.com/rss/user/wong/.This principle goes for every element of your own user account. 52. How can I delete several Bookmarks at once?
On your Bookmarks page, you will notice a gray box titled Tools. There you can quickly and efficiently edit your private, public, and untagged Bookmarks. You can also delete, if you like.

57. How do I get my website bookmarked more frequently on Mister Wong?
That's easy enough. Paste the Wong Button in the HTML code of your website. Of course you can bookmark your website by Mister Wong too. Just don't overdo it, or Mister Wongy sets your Bookmarks to private.
58. How do I get my Blog bookmarked more frequently on Mister Wong?

Mister Wong offers you a few possibilities to publish your Bookmarks wherever you like. There is the Wong Roll and the Wong Cloud.All content is available as RSS feeds, as well, which more advanced users can also publish their Bookmarks with other external services, for example Magpie.

61. How do I install the Wong Roll for WordPress?

64. How do I find the RSS feeds?
The RSS feeds by Mister Wong are hidden behind the orange icons at the foot of each page. If you roll over it with the mouse and right click, you can copy the URL in to the feed reader of your choice.It's even easier with modern browsers. They also show an icon in the address list, that indicates an RSS feed. If you click on the icon, the browser will oped its own feed reader (IE 7, Opera) or a reader of your choice (Firefox 2.0), with which you can comfortably read RSS feeds. The same thing happens, when you click on an RSS feed address on an internet site.Thanks to Mister Wong's EasyURLs you can intuitively access the address of an RSS feed.
65. Why can't I find my RSS feed?
You need to activate the RSS feed in your Profile Settings under "Activate RSS feed".
66. Why can't I find the RSS feed of another user?
It can be that the user doesn't have the RSS feed activated in their Profile Settings, whether intentionally or unintentionally. In this case, the Bookmarks of that user are not readable with RSS.
67. How can I effectively use RSS?
Mister Wong provides RSS feeds for all content. You'll find the address in the little, orange icons at the foot of each page. These feeds can be read comfortably with the help of a modern browser (IE 7, Firefox 2.0, Opera 9) or an RSS feed reader. You can subscribe, for example, to your Buddies' feeds, their feeds to a specific tag, the feeds of a group, or feeds to specific tags from all users. You can combine up to three Tags. Of course you can also subsrcribe to your own Bookmarks as RSS feeds, thereby making your RSS reader your personal link archive.Thanks to Mister Wong's EasyURLs, it's easy to find the addresses of the RSS feeds without searching. 71. Why don't my Bookmarks show up in the search?
It could be, that Mister Wong has set your Bookmarks to private. There are certain reasons for this.
